Glassblower

Glassblower in a 4-person production team creating glassybaby votives, drinkers, and rockers. Each team member performs a defined task within production, with a progression of responsibilities across four levels: Level 1 Color Dropper, Level 2 Overlayer, Level 3 Mold Blower, and Level 4 Timmer. Primary duties include pre-heating color rods, maintaining color supplies, handling color drops and overlaid work, pulling molten glass from the furnace, shaping it at the bench, transferring pieces to the mold for final shaping, and finishing items to size. Level 4 adds leadership duties to ensure teammates perform duties accurately and at the required production pace. Skills emphasized include handling molten glass, color mixing and layering, mold operation, bench shaping, heat management, and team coordination.
