Job Summary
In this Glass Wash Technician role, you will pick up and wash dirty glassware, autoclave glassware and tubing, restock all clean glassware, assemble tubing, disassemble bioreactors, dispose of cell waste and media, check eyewash stations weekly, and maintain metrics for washed, autoclaved, repurposed material and MBP waste items. You will also manage the inventory of gas cylinders and dewars, place orders, connect/disconnect products, and provide daily customer service, including order entry, reporting, and cost-savings tracking. This position supports Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services team serving biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential as you contribute to end-to-end laboratory operations and customer-facing functions in a GMP environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience and/or applicable work experience
- 1+ year of glass wash experience preferred and/or applicable work experience
- Knowledge of scientific products and services is a plus
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using computers
- Experience with Microsoft Teams preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Previous experience in a GMP-regulated facility strongly desired
- Strong communication skills
