Job Summary
Lead and optimize glass tube forming operations on Vello drawing lines, establishing process parameters for consistent tube diameter, wall thickness, and surface quality. Diagnose and correct issues with forming equipment, inline inspection systems, and conveyors to ensure continuous high-volume production. Partner with furnace and cold end teams to maintain optimal glass flow, temperature, and viscosity while supporting setup, changeovers, and tooling improvements. Monitor process performance using SPC and analytical tools to track yield, scrap, and uptime KPIs, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 1-3+ years of experience in glass forming or high-temperature continuous manufacturing
- Proficiency with data analysis and problem-solving tools (SPC, RCA)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration
- Hands-on, results-driven mindset
