Glass Fabrication Operator

Job Summary
Glass Fabrication Operator will work in a cross-functional production team to provide optical components and support high-volume manufacturing. Responsibilities include hands-on production to fulfill work orders, entering data into production reports and MRP systems, setting and adjusting optical manufacturing machinery, troubleshooting processes, maintaining safety and complying with OSHA respirator requirements, and stopping nonconforming processes when necessary. Skills-focused responsibilities include interpreting mechanical drawings, using measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, balances), and proficient use of Microsoft Excel. Minimum education: high school diploma or GED with 6 months to 1 year of related experience or training; US work authorization and ITAR considerations; ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- six months to one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent
- authorized to work in the US and eligible for ITAR-related authorizations
- read, write, and speak fluently in English
- proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- ability to setup, adjust settings, and troubleshoot optical manufacturing machinery
- experience with micrometers, calipers, and balances
- pass OSHA respirator test and wear respirator intermittently
- able to lift up to 50 pounds
- able to work in a fast-paced environment
- familiar with safety procedures when handling materials
- basic knowledge of data entry and reporting in Excel/MRP systems
