GL Reporting Analyst - EMEA

Job Summary
Conduct general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations within the Finance Shared Services environment. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities while ensuring accurate ERP posting and compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and liaise with Finance functions such as PTP, OTC, Treasury, and Tax to resolve accounting issues. Assist in financial reporting, variance analysis, and the adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools under supervision. Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for internal and external audits. This role is part of the Finance Transformation journey, focusing on standardization and digital finance tools. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with additional language exposure being a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Previous experience in an accounting or RTR role within a Shared Services or corporate environment
- Experience supporting external audits by preparing and providing financial information, with a good understanding of statutory accounts and annual reporting requirements
- Experience or exposure to intercompany reconciliations
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, with exposure to Spanish GAAP and IFRS (including IFRS 16)
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, BC Media, Maconomy, or similar)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines

- Ability to work under supervision, follow detailed SOPs and operate within review cycles
Desired Qualifications
- exposure to Spanish GAAP and IFRS (including IFRS 16)
- Knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC) and exposure to statutory/accounting requirements for Italian entities
- Knowledge or exposure to Belgian GAAP (BE GAAP) and Dutch GAAP / Dutch Financial Reporting Standards (NL GAAP)
- Previous experience in an accounting or RTR role within a Shared Services or corporate environment (preferred)
- willingness to work with digital finance, automation and AI-enabled tools
- additional languages are a plus such as Italian
