Job Summary
Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation, reconcile general ledger accounts, and perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities. Review financial data for accuracy, resolve GL discrepancies, and maintain recurring accruals and amortization schedules. Assist with bank reconciliations, administer bi-weekly payroll, and support fixed asset tracking while collaborating with project accounting, AP, AR, and payroll teams. Provide audit support and prepare schedules for internal and external stakeholders. This role is within Halker Consulting, a nationwide provider of engineering and project management services for the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience, preferably in general ledger accounting, month-end close, or corporate accounting
- College degree in accounting/finance, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with ERP or project accounting systems (Deltek, NetSuite, or similar) or a willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational ability
