Job Summary
Greenville ISD seeks a dedicated 6th Grade Science Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with TEKS, TEA requirements, and district policies. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging science instruction, developing lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, using formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learners, establishing a positive and inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues and campus leadership, maintaining accurate records, and communicating regularly with parents about student progress. The role emphasizes student growth, data-informed instruction, professional development participation, and supporting students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate grade-level and/or content endorsement
- Must meet all TEA certification and assignment requirements
- Knowledge of TEKS and effective instructional strategies
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to use assessment data to guide instruction
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Prior teaching experience preferred
