Job Summary
Photointerpret geographic features from aerial and satellite imagery and create highly attributed feature data within a geodatabase. Review maps and ancillary sources to enhance data value, edit terrain to project specifications, and perform georeferencing of source data. Coordinate with the project team on production progress, complete project forms and checklists, and execute quality assurance methods to ensure data consistency and accuracy. Attend training and meetings relating to job requirements and assist in problem-solving. This entry-level role supports mission planning and utilizes geospatial software in a 3D environment. U.S. citizenship and a DoD security clearance are required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a science or engineering program, or equivalent experience
- Ability to see in stereo vision
- Familiarity with digital geospatial software such as: ESRI ArcGIS, ESRI ArcPro, DAT/EM Summit Evolution, Socet Set, Socet GXP, MicroStation, QGIS, AutoCAD or equivalent
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google suite
- U.S. citizenship required to comply with government contract
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance (must be U.S. Citizen)
- Must be able to interview in St. Petersburg, FL office on short notice
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering program, or equivalent experience
- Possess a Secret level DoD security clearance
- Experience working with NGA/DoD/AGC products
- Intermediate knowledge of mapping and cartograph
