Job Summary
GIS Technician in Sacramento, CA responsible for ensuring GIS network data is complete, accurate and current by using standard operating procedures and GIS editing best practices. Tasks include processing installations, replacements, relocations, repairs, excavations, locating, GNSS data collection, field comments, and general cleanup identified via QAQC. Works with GNSS data, CAD/PDF as-builts, field sketches/comments, and tabular data; assists in developing SOPs and best practices; participates in GIS workshops and vendor presentations; collaborates with state GIS lead and team; supports safety and data quality initiatives; some travel and a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 at home).
