Job Summary
Manage routine GIS data management tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency while creating maps and visual representations using GIS tools. Maintain and update GIS databases in a timely manner, identifying and resolving data inconsistencies to ensure data integrity. Collaborate with GIS Analysts on complex mapping projects and provide feedback on tool enhancements to support continuous improvement of GIS processes. Ensure all GIS data complies with organizational standards and procedures. This role supports day-to-day Geographic Information System operations for Southern Company Services in Atlanta, GA, requiring 2–4 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience working with GIS software, tools, and databases
- Diploma or certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related curriculum
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
