Job Summary
Create engineering construction prints using Esri mapping applications and ensure GIS changes are posted timely and accurately. Adhere to mapping standards for offsets, annotation, and symbology while engaging in storm restoration activities. Validate GIS model connectivity, perform quality control and data validation, and provide basic GIS application support to users. Demonstrate ownership of assigned work, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions. Research customer information and decipher DOT and construction prints.
Required Qualifications
- Basic GIS knowledge
- Ability to perform basic spatial queries
- Ability to decipher DOT and construction prints
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred 4 year degree in GIS or Geography related field
- Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)
- Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge of the utility systems (electrical systems is a plus)
- Ability to research customer information
