Job Summary

GIS Specialist with Penn State's Agriculture and Environment Center (AEC) to apply geospatial software to develop, analyze, and maintain geospatial data and GIS tools that identify, prioritize, facilitate, and track agricultural conservation and restoration efforts in Pennsylvania watersheds. Primary duties include geospatial data analyses, managing GIS software for the Agricultural Conservation Assistance Program, developing GIS tools to analyze and prioritize conservation efforts, collecting and maintaining field data, collaborating with researchers, Extension Educators, AEC staff, and stakeholders, and communicating with county conservation districts, the State Conservation Commission, USDA NRCS, and other entities to enhance data analyses and delivery of GIS tools. The role offers a flexible work arrangement combining remote and on-campus work.
