Job Summary
Senior GIS Consultant/Analyst leveraging the Esri technology stack to design project-specific spatial databases, perform advanced spatial analytics (including MCDA for site selection and environmental assessments), and develop web dashboards using ArcGIS Experience Builder to visualize complex datasets for clients. Drive automation and reproducible workflows with Python (ArcPy) and ModelBuilder; ensure metadata, QA/QC, governance, and security; mentor junior staff and collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful geospatial solutions. Strong preference for experience supporting UK-based environmental programs (linear infrastructure, wind, solar, carbon capture & storage, master planning, permitting & Environmental Impact Assessments).
Required Qualifications
- Degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional GIS experience with a BA/BS (or 6+ years with AA/AS)
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision on technical project delivery
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex requirements into actionable technical plans
- Demonstrable experience with quality, metadata, governance, and security practices within enterprise geospatial environments
- Proficiency in English, verbal and written, with emphasis on technical GIS communication (CVs must be submitted in English)
- Technical Stack: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online; Experience Builder / Web Experience; dashboards/visualization; Python/ArcPy, SQL; FME and other ETL tools; Integration with CAD/BIM, APIs, and field data tools (Survey123, Field Maps)
