Job Summary
GIS Consultant/Analyst role using Esri technology (ArcGIS Pro/Online/Enterprise) to source, manage and create geospatial data; perform spatial analysis; contribute to GIS/workflow improvements; collaborate with GIS Leads, Project Managers and technical specialists; support field data collection with ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123; integrate GIS with CAD/BIM workflows; develop documentation and metadata; preferred experience supporting UK environmental programs (e.g., permitting and master planning) and open-source GIS familiarity.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in GIS, Geography, or a related technical field
- Typically 3+ years of professional GIS experience with a BA/BS (or 4+ years with AA/AS)
- Proficiency in the ArcGIS Pro suite and foundational knowledge of ArcGIS Online/Enterprise
- Strong communication skills and ability to support the creation of actionable technical plans
- Proficiency in English, verbal and written, with emphasis on technical GIS communication
Desired Qualifications
- Chartered professional status (CGeog, GISP) or equivalent senior technical accreditation
- Experience working on UK projects, familiarity with UK standards, regulations, and delivery contexts
- Familiarity with open-source geospatial tools (e.g., QGIS, GeoPandas) and cloud/web GIS patterns
- Working towards chartered professional status (e.g., CGeog, GISP) or equivalent senior technical accreditation
