Job Summary
GIS Solution Engineer at Esri focused on building relationships, presenting and demonstrating Esri software, and acting as a subject-matter expert across industries. Responsibilities include solving customer challenges with GIS technology, delivering demonstrations and best practices for deployment and administration of Esri solutions, and supporting sales strategies. Requires hands-on experience with ArcGIS, Python and JavaScript, cloud concepts, geodatabases, and the ability to travel. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrated consulting/sales awareness are expected; visa sponsorship is not available. Total Rewards include a base salary range of $79,248—$130,728 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- 1+ years of experience in various industries
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing)
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments (Microsoft Azure or AWS)
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
