Job Summary
The GIS Specialist role supports the maintenance and use of the GIS for the SCI REMC electric and fiber connectivity model, including asset/inventory data management, and ensuring data accuracy for OMS, map viewer, and engineering software. The position requires the ability to collect field data under varying terrain, work with ESRI mapping products, and communicate with management, personnel, and the public. The candidate should be able to assist during storms and outages, maintain records, and possess a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with GIS/utility infrastructure experience or degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field
