Job Summary
Conduct cost analysis for fiber network expansion markets and perform feasibility studies for prospective service areas. Analyze and resolve discrepancies between GIS-generated documentation and project deliverables while reviewing OSP designs to support planning and deployment efforts. Assess financial impact of change requests and prepare reports with recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams. Collaborate with engineering, construction, and business teams to evaluate expansion opportunities and ensure data accuracy. This role requires a minimum of five years of Fiber Outside Plant experience and proficiency with GIS platforms, including ArcGIS and 3GIS.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of Fiber Outside Plant (OSP) experience
- Experience with GIS platforms and mapping technologies
- Strong understanding of fiber network design, planning, and deployment practices
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences
- Experience conducting cost analysis, feasibility studies, and financial impact assessments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ESRI systems, including ArcGIS
- Experience using 3GIS software and related fiber network management tools
- Background in telecommunications, broadband, or fiber network expansion projects
- Experience supporting large-scale fiber construction or network deployment initiatives
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Curious and proactive in identifying issues and developing solutions
- Strong communicator who can effectively collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Organized and able to balance multiple projects and deadlines
