Job Summary
Entry-level GIS Analyst to join the Geospatial Team in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include data creation, editing and management; analyzing impacts of current and proposed projects; preparing maps for documents and the web; designing and publishing web maps to ArcGIS Online; supporting field data collection; and performing spatial analyses to aid decision-making across engineering, environmental, cultural resources, noise, air quality, and other disciplines. Requires ESRI ArcGIS Pro experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to learn and push technical boundaries. The role supports flexible and hybrid work schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields OR 1-3 years of work experience using GIS software
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to complete work independently in a responsible and timely manner
- Excellent analytical thinking / problem solving skills
- Genuinely excited and enthusiastic about learning and pushing technical limits / finding new solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with ESRI Desktop extensions, such as 3D and Spatial Analyst
- Familiar with ArcGIS Online
- Familiar with ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123
- Familiar with Python scripting
- Familiar with model builder
- Familiar with relational databases
