Job Summary
GIS Analyst responsible for creating, maintaining, and analyzing spatial datasets to support engineering, planning, and environmental projects; produce cartographic products and mapping deliverables for proposals, reports, and presentations; perform spatial analyses (proximity, overlay, network, terrain modeling); support field data collection with GPS and mobile GIS; manage GIS data to ensure accuracy and currency across projects; collaborate with engineers, planners, and environmental scientists to integrate GIS into project workflows; assist in developing automated GIS processes and tools for efficiency; requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years GIS experience with proficiency in ArcGIS Pro/Online; CAD/GIS integration familiarity and strong communication and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning, or related field
- 2 to 4 years of professional GIS experience
- Experience with utility asset inventory management systems
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related ESRI software
- Experience with GPS data collection and mobile GIS applications
- Knowledge of spatial analysis techniques, coordinate systems, and data management best practices
- Familiarity with CAD/GIS integration is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
