GIS Analyst, Co-op

Reporting to the GIS Specialist, the GIS Analyst, Co-op will support geospatial data integration, mapping, and analysis across infrastructure and construction projects. This role involves assisting with ETL workflows using tools like FME to integrate CAD/BIM, survey, LiDAR, and GIS data; maintaining and updating spatial datasets; supporting field operations through maps and data collection; building simple scripts/tools (e.g., Python, ArcGIS tools) to automate workflows; managing GIS data standards, projections, georeferencing, and metadata; creating maps, dashboards, and web applications (ArcGIS Online, Dashboards); collaborating with internal teams and helping with documentation, support, and training materials; and occasional site visits within Aecon yards in the GTA. Candidates should be currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, or related field and may have experience with FME and GIS tools; strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; effective communication and teamwork abilities.
