Job Summary
Implement evidence-based literacy instruction using the UFLI Foundations curriculum and deliver targeted small-group and individualized interventions. Administer DIBELS assessments at benchmark periods, analyze data to inform instruction, and support MTSS and RTI processes. Build trusting relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community partners while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment. Maintain accurate attendance and program records, ensure timely submission of reports, and monitor compliance with BACR and district requirements. Collaborate effectively with educators and coordinators to align programming with school-site goals and participate in continuous quality improvement processes.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance
- Strong understanding of foundational literacy instruction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse students, families, and school personnel
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of integrity
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to travel to required meetings and school sites
- Valid California Driver's License and insured vehicle
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and web-based platforms
- Ability to maintain detailed records and documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be punctual, organized, and reliable
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with students and families
- Basic English reading proficiency to support students' academic development and school-day alignment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with DIBELS and structured literacy approaches preferred
- Training or experience with UFLI Foundations preferred
- Education and Youth Development background preferred
- Experience working in schools and/or nonprofit settings preferred
- Familiarity with SELPQA or similar quality improvement frameworks preferred
