Job Summary
Head Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach responsible for developing players and leading the program at Everett High School. Duties include coaching individual participants to achieve excellence, maintaining team records and statistics, ensuring student-athlete guidance on academics and citizenship, recommending equipment and uniforms, determining academic eligibility, overseeing facility safety, attending all practices, games, and meetings, creating organized daily practice plans with warm-up and cool-down routines, providing personal support to the school staff, and coordinating with community members to promote youth participation. Must possess knowledge of volleyball, be able to instruct players in all facets of the sport, demonstrate the ability to get along with pupils, parents, and staff, and have CPR certification. CPR, the MIAA Coaches Education Class, and/or other MIAA requirements are preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. This is a stipend, contract-based, part-time coaching role. Desired Qualifications
- CPR Certification
- Completion of the MIAA Coaches Education Class and/or other requirements by the MIAA preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred
- Previous volleyball coaching experience
- Previous high school or college coaching experience
- Knowledge of volleyball rules and instruction ability
- Ability to work with pupils, parents, colleagues
