Job Summary
Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach at Robichaud High School. Responsibilities include coaching individual participants in skills for volleyball, planning and scheduling regular practice in-season, collaborating with other coaches and administration for scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests, recommending equipment and managing uniforms, maintaining attendance forms and insurance records, ensuring safety of facilities during all activities, establishing performance criteria for interscholastic competition, enforcing sportsmanship standards, attending MHSAA rules interpretation meetings, coordinating with athletic director and principal on volunteer assistants, and providing opportunities for conditioning outside the season. Requires volleyball knowledge and coaching experience, understanding of MHSAA rules, strong communication with students, parents, staff, and community, and high school graduate status; Michigan Certified Teacher is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Volleyball coaching experience
- Understanding of Michigan High School Athletic Association rules and regulations
- Ability to communicate and work well with High School students
- Ability to communicate with parents, staff and the community
- Michigan Certified Teacher, preferred
- Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent
- Coaching responsibilities outside of contractual day
- Plans and schedules practice in season
- Oversee safety conditions of the facility
- Aids in establishment of performance criteria for interscholastic competition
- Attends rules interpretation meetings for sport(s)
- Bring recommendation for volunteers and assistants to the principal/Board of Education
