Girls Varsity Basketball Coach

Job Summary
The coach will be responsible for cultivating the team culture, supervising coaching staff, and guiding players through interscholastic competition. Responsibilities include establishing the coaching philosophy and techniques to be taught, managing practices and contests to promote athletic growth, discipline, teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship; adhering to injury procedures; protecting athletes and equipment; supporting student participation in other activities; and developing programs that connect the high school program with middle school and town/community activities. Preferred qualifications include prior high school varsity/JV coaching experience, CPR/First Aid and NFHS certifications, knowledge of coaching techniques and NHIAA rules, and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Prior high school varsity or junior varsity coaching experience
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- NFHS Certification
- Knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of NHIAA rules
- Demonstrated ability to instruct, lead and supervise student athletes
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
