Job Summary
Provide strategic leadership, technical instruction, and holistic mentorship to student-athletes, fostering a safe, inclusive, and competitive environment that prioritizes health, academic success, and character growth. Develop and execute a regular practice schedule balancing individual skill development with cohesive team strategy while continuously assessing performance to inform instructional adjustments. Ensure athlete safety by adhering to district health protocols, including concussion management and medical emergency procedures, and maintain strict compliance with MIAA regulations, state laws, and FERPA. Manage logistical demands such as equipment inventory, facility scheduling, and transportation coordination while collaborating with the Director of Athletics and maintaining effective relationships with parents, staff, and the community.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- MIAA-required coaching certifications
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Concussion Training certification
- 2–4 years of successful experience in playing and/or coaching the specific sport beyond high school graduation
- Bachelor's degree
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
- Ability to lift and move at least 25 lbs
- Ability to read and input digital data using mobile devices or computers
- Ability to see and hear on a continuous basis
- Ability to react professionally and objectively to high-stress situations
- Ability to maintain focus and lead amidst frequent interruptions
