Girls Tennis Assistant Coach

Job Summary
Assist in coaching girls tennis at May River High School within Beaufort County School District. Instruct athletes in individual and team fundamentals, sportsmanship, cooperation, strategy, playing tactics, and physical conditioning. Help the Athletic Director plan and schedule intra- and interscholastic contests, and contribute to planning a regular in-season practice program. Maintain safety oversight in the facility, support academic eligibility criteria, enforce the code of conduct, and assist in equipment purchases as needed. Requires coaching experience, a teaching certificate preferred, ability to pass a criminal background check, and a valid driver’s license. This is a part-time temporary role with responsibilities that include administrative duties, professional conduct, and collaboration with school leadership. REPORTS TO: Athletic Director.
Required Qualifications
- Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
- Knowledge and/or background in the assigned sport.
- Teaching certificate and experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass criminal background check.
- Valid drivers license.
