Job Summary
Lead the Varsity Team by ensuring student-athletes adhere to departmental vision, prioritizing their academic success, safety, and well-being. Teach positive character traits, fundamentals, and work ethic while monitoring eligibility and developing sportsmanship. Manage game preparation by coordinating transportation, identifying tournaments, and creating a realistic budget. Collaborate with the Athletic Director to develop master schedules, represent the school at league meetings, and ensure compliance with CIF rules. Supervise assistant coaches and JV/Freshman staffs. Obtain required CIF certifications, CPR/First Aid, and Heat Acclimatization training. Starting stipend is $1000 per season.
Required Qualifications
- Successful coaching experience
- Ability to supervise personnel through previous leadership experience
- Must be able to obtain CIF Certifications - General Coaching Education course
- Must be able to obtain a Concussion course
- Must be able to obtain Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) training
- Must be able to obtain Heat Acclimatization course
- CPR and First Aid Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Desire to teach/work at Sacramento High School preferred
