Job Summary
Head Girls Soccer Coach at Robert L. Bland Middle School. Responsibilities include teaching advanced soccer skills, organizing daily practice sessions, coordinating with the LCHS soccer program, submitting WVSSAC eligibility paperwork to the athletic director, assisting with athletic contests, organizing off-season conditioning and skills-building programs, promoting middle school soccer within the school system and community, enforcing school and county athletic policies, developing an athletic code of conduct for athletes and parents, maintaining communications with athletes, parents, and administration, ensuring student safety during practice and events, attending WVSSAC rules clinics and related meetings, and working with coaching staff to implement a skills-building program for weeks 50, 51, and 52 as per WVSSAC regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Certification: West Virginia Teaching Certificate, or 5202 Substitute Permit Certificate, or eligible for Temporary Coach Authorization
- Advanced knowledge of soccer fundamentals/concepts, team organization, rules, and WVSSAC policies
- Previous experience as a soccer coach; preferred at the middle school level
