Job Summary
Program Manager to expand and sustain Girls on the Run programming across Rhode Island and Bristol County, MA; coordinates sites, manages volunteer coaches, and builds relationships with site partners, coaches, participants, and families to ensure high-quality program implementation. Responsibilities include outreach, site management, coach training and recruitment, program quality assurance, data collection and reporting, curriculum/materials distribution, financial aid management, and communications with sites, coaches, and families. Travel within RI and Bristol County, MA is required; hybrid remote option available. Requires 2–5 years in program/volunteer management or related fields, strong communication and relationship-building skills, proficiency with Office/Google tools, and willingness to support events and trainings during evenings/weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; ability to lift up to 50 pounds for event activities; exempt full-time role with a salary range of $50,000–$55,000 and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years of experience in program or volunteer management, youth development, K-12 education, or a related field
- Passion for the Girls on the Run mission and the communities we serve
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and execute strategies with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; comfortable using Canva, CRM systems, and other digital tools
- Based within and able to travel regularly throughout our council territory (Rhode Island and Bristol County, Massachusetts)
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events and training
