Job Summary
Provide coaching, mentoring, advocacy, and supportive services to women with major mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, and histories of significant trauma. Assist with meal preparation, household chores, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and money management while teaching daily living skills. Coordinate transportation to treatment, community outings, and essential appointments. Exchange information between shifts through required reporting documentation and communicate with the treatment team to support symptom management and assess risks. Perform an awake overnight position from 11:00 AM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Saturday, working 32 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance in good standing
- Reliable use of personal vehicle
- Ability to work Sunday, Monday, Friday, Saturday 11:00 AM - 7:00 AM
- Ability to work 32 hours per week
- Ability to perform an awake overnight position
- Ability to provide coaching, mentoring, advocacy, and supportive services
- Ability to assist with household chores
- Ability to provide teaching and training in money management and daily living skills
- Ability to provide prompts as necessary
- Ability to understand needs of clients experiencing severe and prolonged mental health and substance abuse disorders
- Ability to assist with meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, and laundry
- Ability to provide recovery-oriented services with an emphasis on dignity, respect, and inclusion
- Ability to exchange information from one shift to another
- Ability to provide required reporting documentation and communication
- Ability to coordinate and provision of transportation to treatment, community and social outings, and other essential appointments
- Ability to work with the treatment team to support clients' mental health
- Ability to provide education and training regarding symptom management
- Ability to assess for risks as necessary
- Ability to act with compassion, integrity, and ethics
- Ability to meet standards and regulations set by the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and other regulatory bodies
