Job Summary
Area Director I leads in developing a team to carry out Young Life’s ministry in Gilbert, overseeing spiritual development, leadership development, and fundraising. Responsibilities include recruiting and training staff and volunteers; developing and executing ministry plans; building relationships with schools, churches, and donors; coordinating campaigns and events; modeling gospel proclamation; managing finances and reporting; and ensuring compliance with Young Life policies. Requires strong leadership, relational, and communication skills, experience in youth ministry, fundraising, and a commitment to the organization’s faith-based mission; college degree preferred and ongoing spiritual and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Must have completed Core Training —Phase One
- Proven leadership skills
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
- A call to reach kids with the Gospel
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
