Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of individual donors and prospects, focusing on gifts up to $5,000, while identifying, researching, and qualifying new sources for cultivation and solicitation. Conduct donor outreach through personal visits, phone calls, and digital communications to build an active pipeline of supporters. Facilitate face-to-face meetings to strengthen relationships and ensure timely stewardship activities, including acknowledgments and impact reporting. Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Membership and Annual Gifts to support acquisition, retention, and renewal efforts, while assisting in the planning and execution of advancement events. Maintain accurate donor records within the CRM system and prepare reports, prospect tracking, and fundraising activity updates. Represent the Museum professionally at public events and donor functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, arts administration, or any related field
- 2–4 years of experience in donor management, public-facing programs, in a museum, nonprofit, educational or cultural organization
- Demonstrated success in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors
- Strong customer service and front-of-house experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to gather logistical details and develop fundraising strategies
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
- Proficiency with Altru (Blackbaud) or comparable CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools (ie.AirTable)
- Proven ability to work effectively independently, in a team environment, and collaborating across organizational structure, dedicated to fostering a workplace of belonging
