Job Summary
GI Procedure Nurse responsible for direct patient care during endoscopic procedures, including patient assessment, sedation, medication administration, and ongoing communication with patients. Performs nursing care planning, post-operative evaluation, and modification of care plans based on patient responses. Participates in endoscope decontamination and equipment maintenance, QA activities, staff training, and department operations. Requires NY RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, and nursing degrees with relevant experience. Roles emphasize empathy, patient-centered care, and coordination within the endoscopy team.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Nursing with 2-4 years of experience preferred
- AAS in Nursing with 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Current NYS RN license in good standing
- BLS, ACLS & PALS certification
