Job Summary
GI-Endoscopy Technologist provides professional accountability and technical support for endoscopy patient care. As directed, prepares the endoscopy field and obtains needed equipment, upholds patient safety standards, and assists the physician and registered nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties and may assist with special procedures as noted on the career ladder program; duties may range from limited to highly complex. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
