Job Summary

Lead high-impact negotiations to secure preferential capacity allocation and drive annual pricing renewals for our most critical compressor supplier. Establish and enforce a rapid response protocol for critical quality issues, acting as the lead negotiator for liability claims and cost recovery. Serve as the central hub for manufacturing sites across NA, EMEA, and APAC, aligning demand forecasts and inventory strategies while providing executive visibility on supplier performance and risk mitigation. Manage global touchpoints from tactical purchasing to executive engagement, ensuring seamless cross-regional collaboration and a unified front with the supplier. This role requires 10+ years of supply chain experience, bilingual proficiency in English and French, and a Bachelor's degree in HVAC or mechanical engineering.

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Bachelor's degree in HVAC or mechanical engineering or related field or related experience
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including category management, strategic sourcing
  • Experience managing global suppliers and complex supply chains
  • Understanding in HVAC system/components and quality tools
  • This role is 100% on site
  • The Global Category Manager (GCM) to exclusively manage our most critical compressor supplier
  • Manage all touchpoints from tactical purchasing to executive-level engagement
  • Lead high-impact negotiations to secure preferential capacity allocation
  • Drive annual pricing negotiations and global agreement renewal
  • Establish and enforce a stringent 'Rapid Response Protocol' for all Critical Quality Issues (CQI)
  • Act as the lead negotiator regarding quality liability
  • Work with Quality departments to push the supplier for rigorous Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and verification of corrective actions (8D)
  • Act as the central hub for our manufacturing sites across NA, EMEA, and APAC
  • Facilitate regular syncs to align on demand forecasts, inventory strategies, and local quality feedback loops
  • Provide clear visibility to Global Leadership on supplier performance, risk mitigation status, and negotiation outcomes
  • Work closely with Global Demand Planning to translate forecasts into firm supplier commitments
  • Manage the allocation strategy during shortage periods to ensure fair distribution across regions based on business priorities
  • Monitor supplier financial health and operational bottlenecks
  • Develop and maintain contingency plans to de-risk the single-source dependency
  • Master average of French and English
  • French mastery is indispensable for communicating with our team in Quebec
  • English mastery is indispensable for communicating with our clients, partners and suppliers located outside of Quebec, as well as for consulting certain technical documentation available only in English

Desired Qualifications

  • HVAC industry background is preferred
  • Have a basic understanding of compressor technology
