Job Summary
Lead technical execution of hydro turbine projects from contract handover through installation and commissioning support. Align engineering, project management, site teams, and external stakeholders by reviewing contract requirements, technical interfaces, and scope assumptions. Drive follow-up meetings, support decision-making, and track actions against quality, schedule, cost, and risk objectives. Monitor engineering deliverables and coordinate technical responses to site issues. Manage technical documentation, design packages, and external communications related to turbine scope. This role supports major modernization and new-build projects, including advanced pumped storage solutions, within a multidisciplinary matrixed environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, project execution, or technical management
- Experience managing interfaces with customers and external stakeholders
- Strong project coordination, prioritization, and communication skills
- Bilingualism (French and English) – writing aptitude required
- Membership in the OIQ
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary, matrixed environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hydroelectric power, heavy industry, rotating machinery, or turbine design
- Experience in engineering project management or project execution environments
- Project management certification or equivalent experience
- Proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and ability to influence in a collaborative environment
