Job Summary
Category Manager responsible for a portfolio in the Canadian commercial lighting market, owning category strategy, financial performance, roadmap execution, and market success. Leads a dedicated team, collaborating with engineering, project management, sales, marketing, operations and quality to ensure successful product launches, strong market positioning, and effective adoption through distribution channels. Drives category strategy, product development, lifecycle management, and go-to-market initiatives; defines go-to-market strategies, supports sales tools, and monitors launch performance. Coaches and develops the product management team, ensuring alignment on priorities and objectives; fosters a market-driven, performance-oriented, cross-functional culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in product, category, or segment management (ideally in lighting, controls, or building systems)
- Experience leading teams and supporting performance development
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency with MS Office
- Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
- Good knowledge of the lighting industry; NetSuite knowledge is an asset
- Availability for occasional travel within Canada
