Job Summary
German Language Teacher responsible for teaching IB German at Palmer High School and Coronado High School (FTE 1.0 across both campuses). Key duties include designing and delivering standards-based instruction aligned with Colorado Academic Standards, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs (including English Language Learners and students with disabilities), using multiple assessment tools to monitor progress, maintaining accurate records, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, collaborating with colleagues and families, participating in professional growth, and upholding professional and ethical standards. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in education and a valid Colorado teaching license; preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, prior K-12 teaching experience, and bilingual proficiency. The position spans 187 days with school-based compensation per the 2025-2026 salary schedule and includes non-recurring pay adjustments and incentives for certain Hard-to-Fill positions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education
- Valid Colorado Teaching License appropriate for assigned subject/grade level
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices, assessment, and classroom management
