Job Summary
German/Italian Curriculum Designer to create engaging, interactive online assessment questions; collaborate with software engineers, visual designers, and writers/editors to bring designs to life; edit user-facing content; manage projects and oversee a team of Italian- and German-speaking content creators; ensure content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with language-assessment frameworks (CEFR/ACTFL). Responsibilities include designing questions to evaluate German and Italian grammar, phonics, reading comprehension, writing strategies, and vocabulary; editing content for quality; collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality content; developing guidelines, processes, and documentation to support a growing team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Italian, German, Linguistics, Education, or a related field
- Experience teaching new languages to adult learners
- Fluency in German, Italian, and English, including outstanding written communication skills and the ability to explain linguistic concepts clearly and concisely
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design
- Familiarity with CEFR and ACTFL
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems creatively
- Can-do attitude with openness to others' ideas and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn new guidelines and software; familiarity with HTML, Jira, or Git is a plus
