Job Summary
Provide verbal interpretation services to facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers in medical settings. Accurately interpret medical conversations, including patient history, diagnosis, treatment options, and instructions, while assisting with the translation of medical documents and forms. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards, staying up to date on medical terminology and procedures. Build rapport with patients and healthcare professionals using excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to different dialects and accents. Work from home with a flexible schedule, earning a performance bonus and receiving paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and German (spoken and written)
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to different dialects and accents
- Strong listening and comprehension skills
- Highly professional and empathetic demeanor
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Intel Core i5 processor (8th generation or newer) or Ryzen 5 (3000 series or higher), minimum 4 cores / 8 threads, 8–16 GB RAM, and 256 GB SSD or larger
- Mandatory use of a wired Ethernet connection
- Wired headset with a boom microphone, unidirectional and with noise cancellation
- 1080p resolution, 30–60 fps, with autofocus (built-in or equivalent external camera, such as Logitech C920)
