German Bilingual Customer Support Specialist - Project Based (ZA)

Job Summary
German–English bilingual Customer Support Specialist for a project-based temporary contract (6 months) to support a global children’s entertainment company. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality customer support across email and live chat in German and English, handling inquiries related to product information, orders, and account questions, and basic technical troubleshooting. You’ll meet defined KPIs (response time, resolution time, CSAT) and work cross-functionally to resolve issues, identify recurring problems, share customer insights to improve product experience, navigate multiple tools (CRM, knowledge bases, ticketing systems), and support additional tasks as assigned. Requirements include 1+ years in customer service, fluent German and English, experience with Zendesk or similar tools, strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, proactive and collaborative mindset, active listening, and the ability to adapt to new systems. The role offers hybrid working arrangements and benefits, with remote work based in South Africa.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a customer service or support role
- Fluent German and English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with Zendesk or similar customer support tools
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work across global/time-zone distributed teams
