Job Summary
Geriatric Section Head to lead MUSC’s geriatric program across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and home settings. Direct the vision for geriatric care across settings with a focus on outstanding clinical care, education, and research. Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty; potential for dual appointment with the Charleston VA including research; flexible schedule aligned with clinical interests. Faculty appointment commensurate with experience; competitive compensation and benefits; PSLF eligibility; Epic EMR; rich retirement options and CME support.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Internal Medicine or FM Physician with Geriatric Fellowship training
- Eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina
- Demonstrated leadership in academics, teaching, or research
- Collaborative and collegial demeanor with commitment to high quality patient care
- Academic orientation and enthusiasm for teaching
