Job Summary
Geriatric Section Head leading the division-wide geriatric care strategy across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and home settings. Responsibilities include shaping clinical care, education, and research for older adults; teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty; potential dual appointment with the Charleston VA including research; and tailoring clinical schedules to interests. Offers faculty appointment commensurate with experience, competitive compensation and benefits, PSLF eligibility, generous PTO and CME allowance, Epic EMR, and debt-analytic services. Charleston, SC-based leadership role within MUSC’s Department of Medicine, with emphasis on academic mission and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Internal Medicine or FM Physician with Geriatric Fellowship training
- Eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina
- Demonstrated leadership in academics, teaching, or research
- Academic orientation and enthusiasm for teaching
