Geriatrician Section Head - Department of Medicine, MUSC

Lead the Geriatric Section within the Division of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics & Palliative Care, directing the vision for geriatric care across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and home settings. The ideal candidate will be a BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician with Geriatric Fellowship training, eligible for South Carolina medical licensure, and possess a track record in leadership, academics, teaching, or research. Opportunity for potential dual appointment with the Charleston VA including research, with an academic mission to teach medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty. Responsibilities include shaping system-wide strategies for clinical care, education, and research for older adults; tailoring clinical schedules; and leveraging EPIC EMR.
