Job Summary
Lead Geriatric Section within the Division of General Internal Medicine to shape a system-wide strategy for outstanding clinical care, education, and research for older adults across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and home settings. Direct the vision for geriatric care across various settings; teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty; collaboration with potential dual appointment with the Charleston VA including research; tailor clinical schedule to interests; participate in academic mission and scholarly activities.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with Geriatric Fellowship training
- Eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina
- Demonstrated leadership in academics, teaching, or research
- Academic orientation and enthusiasm for teaching
- Collaborative and collegial demeanor with commitment to high quality patient care
