Job Summary
Lead geriatric care strategy across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and home settings within MUSC's Division of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics & Palliative Care. Direct the vision for geriatric care, teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty, and potentially collaborate on a dual appointment with the Charleston VA including research. Tailor clinical schedules to support growth of the aging patient population and foster an environment of patient-centered, high-quality care with an emphasis on education and scholarly activity. Location is Charleston, SC; role includes academic leadership responsibilities and opportunity to shape system-wide geriatric services. Epic EMR platform and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Internal Medicine or FM Physician with Geriatric Fellowship training
- Eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina
- Demonstrated leadership in academics, teaching, or research
- Collaborative and collegial demeanor with commitment to high quality patient care
- Academic orientation and enthusiasm for teaching
