Job Summary
Geriatric Section Head leading MUSC’s Geriatric program within General Internal Medicine across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and home settings. Responsibilities include directing clinical care strategy, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty, and pursuing education and research goals with potential for dual appointment with the Charleston VA. Ideal candidate is BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with Geriatric Fellowship training, eligible for South Carolina medical licensure, and has demonstrated leadership in academics or research. The role emphasizes patient-centered leadership, academic mission, and collaboration, with a competitive faculty appointment and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Internal Medicine or FM Physician with Geriatric Fellowship training
- Eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina
