Geriatrician - Principal Investigator

Job Summary

Conduct clinical trials as a Principal Investigator, overseeing study conduct, patient safety, and protocol adherence while reviewing lab, imaging, and biopsy findings. Perform subject screening, recruitment, and physical examinations, including appointment scheduling, vital signs collection, and treatment coordination. Adhere to FDA regulations, Good Clinical Practice, and IRB-approved plans, ensuring accurate data integrity and confidentiality. Provide weekend coverage and after-hours phone support to facilitate study visits. Board Certified Geriatrician with experience in Alzheimer's dementia and steatotic liver disease required.

Required Qualifications

  • At least one to two years of clinical practice in Geriatrics
  • Experience working with an aging population in a clinical or research setting
  • Current physician license
  • Board Certified in Geriatric medicine
  • Must be able to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • People skills, including possessing a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Foxfire, and web-based enterprise solutions software
  • Occasional travel may be required, domestic and/or international 10%
  • Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-10 hours per day
  • Frequent mobility is required
  • Occasionally squatting, kneeling, or bending
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moving) objects, including medical equipment, with a maximum lift of 20-50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Clinical research experience is preferred but not required
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred
