Job Summary
The part-time Bilingual Geriatric Social Worker provides comprehensive social work services to residents aged 60 and older in the Town of North Hempstead, conducting assessments, creating care plans, and connecting clients to resources. Responsibilities include counseling, benefits assistance, referrals to community resources, and maintaining client records in compliance with HIPAA. Ideal candidates will possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, bilingual abilities, and knowledge of services for the geriatric population.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in Farsi or Haitian Creole
- Knowledge of Nassau County services and veteran needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and database software
Additional Requirements
- Must be Bilingual in either Farsi or Haitian Creole
- Must have access to a car and a valid NYS Driver’s License
