Job Summary
Conduct detailed evaluations of geriatric patients using standardized tools to identify unique rehabilitation needs. Develop and implement customized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to restore function and alleviate pain. Regularly monitor patient progress, adjust protocols, and document outcomes in electronic medical records. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, while educating patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention. Initiate and oversee fall prevention strategies within assisted living environments. Maintain current clinical knowledge through ongoing education and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a degree from an accredited college or university in Physical Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate)
- Possession of an active State license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other relevant documentation systems
Desired Qualifications
- While experience in geriatric therapy is preferred, new graduates passionate about elderly care are highly encouraged to apply
